Luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co is bringing its “Vision & Virtuosity” exhibition to Shanghai in September.
Described as the first of its kind for Tiffany, “Vision & Virtuosity” is a celebration of the jeweller’s masterpieces.
“‘Vision & Virtuosity’ is a tribute to Tiffany & Co, which has stood for masterful craftsmanship and innovative design since Charles Lewis Tiffany founded his company in New York City in 1837,” Alessandro Bogliolo, company chief executive officer, said in a news release. “These two values – vision and virtuosity – lie at the heart of Tiffany & Co, and this exhibition represents the best of our brand.”
“Vision & Virtuosity” is slated to open to the public on September 23 and run through November 10 at the Fosun Foundation Shanghai. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning in September, with all ticket sales benefitting the Fosun Foundation and its charitable programmes.
The thematic journey takes visitors through six chapters devoted to Tiffany’s longstanding history of excellence in design and craftsmanship, namely, Blue Is the Color of Dreams, The World of Tiffany, The Tiffany Blue Book, Tiffany Love, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Diamonds: Miracles of Nature.
The Diamonds: Miracles of Nature room will feature the crowning jewel of Tiffany – the Tiffany Diamond. This 128.54-carat fancy yellow diamond, which has long been a source of inspiration and a starting point for jewellery collections at Tiffany, is one of the most important gemstones in the world, the luxury jeweller said.
